Please note: Registration with any of our programs will require registration with USA Hockey (free for children 6 and younger).  Any player previously registered with another association must also provide a player fininacial release before registering with MYHA.

HOUSE HOCKEY (top)

The 2012-13 season has ended.  Registration for the 2013-14 season will begin soon.  House Hockey evaluations and team assignments are made in the Fall.  Please contact Kevin Dwyer or  Jennifer Thieben, your age-division's coach or house committee member if need further information.

SYRACUSE NATIONALS (top)

Participation in the Syracuse Nationals' Tier I (AAA) Youth and Girls hockey programs are based on competitive tryouts.  Tryouts are announced and held in early Spring prior to each regular season.  Registration is managed through each individual team's staff and more information may be available at each team's web page.

What's the Difference in MYHA Programs? (top)

Midstate Youth Hockey Association offers both "Youth" and "Girls" programs affiliated with USA Hockey and NYSAHA where we participate in NYSAHA's Central Section.  Teams play in the age classifications of 8-and-Under (Mite), 10-and-Under (Squirt), 12-and-Under (Pee Wee), 14-and-Under (Bantam), and 16-and-Under (Midget) .

Our INITIATION PROGRAM is for the youngest players just starting out and learning to skate and play.  Typically, both boys and girls ages four to six register for this program, but some younger and some older children also will register.

Our HOUSE HOCKEY program is for those older, or experienced, children that wish to play hockey in a recreational format.  Player evaluations are conducted at the beginning of each season in the Fall.  Generally, and depending on participation levels, teams are made with players of equivalent skill levels.  Teams will have both regular practices and games with other local Tier III and Tier II association teams, and may participate in some local jamborees or tournaments. 

Our SYRACUSE NATIONALS program is the competitive travel division of MYHA.  For devoted players (and parents), our AAA teams participate in NYSAHA's highest level (Tier I) for Youth and Girls programs. .
